Congratulations Kingman Middle School for beginning the 2009/10 school year as a PERFORMING PLUS SCHOOL!  The hard work and extra effort that everyone put in last year paid off as the state of Arizona’s school evaluation system, AZ-LEARNS, gave KMS high marks due to school-wide improvement on the AIMS test.  This great accomplishment could not have been realized without the combined efforts of students, parents, and KMS teachers and staff.   For the 2009/10 school year we hope to make even more improvements and raise our scores so that we can receive the label of HIGHLY PERFORMING.  If we all work together, we can reach this lofty goal.

KMS is dedicated to helping our students achieve on a high level and to get them ready for the rigors of high school.  In order to do this, we hope to make improvements so that a creative, safe, learning environment exists where every student can reach his or her full potential.  This can only be done by holding students accountable for their education and behavior.  Each student has been provided with a school planner which is designed to help students keep track of their assignments, and, allow parents to better understand what their student is doing at school.  We encourage you to check your child’s planner regularly and call or email his/her teacher if you have questions.

We also encourage our students to get involved.  KMS offers many after school activities, clubs, and sports teams.  While we have had to cut back on a few things due to the economy, we still feel we offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities that will benefit our students.  We also provide after school tutoring every Tuesday and Thursday.  Please feel free to contact us for more information regarding after school activities.
